Applied method for resource estimation in small software project

General problems of preliminary resource estimation in small original software project are examined in the article. Capabilities and limitations of software project preliminary estimation methods recognized by Russian and international standards (functional points and COCOMO II) are discussed. The results of applying these methods for estimation real software project are given. Also typical Russian risks of software products are fixed and an approach to estimation of identified risks influence on project budget is examined.
