Business information systems

Author: E. Prohorova

Developing a comprehensive strategy for sourcing of information technology (IT) processes of the organization involves choosing the most suitable model. Nowadays acceptable classification of such models is absent, the IT sourcing market boundaries are very blurred. Using the methodology of conceptual analysis and design the paper presents the conceptual scheme that allows to systematize the existing approaches to IT sourcing and generate new models, yet unknown to modern IT market.

IT management

Automated control systems

The lack of integrated decision-making tools in the chemical sector enterprises creates significant obstacles for the industry development. Implementation of integrated decision support systems will significantly increase the pace of modernization and control processes in the enterprise, and create competitive advantage for the complex as a whole.

The paper deals with structuring of the scientific periodicals production processes. On the basis of scientific journal specifics, the main production stages, stakeholders, resource usage and business rules the structural functional model and information models as well as the concepts of automating the editorial and publishing processes are proposed.

3D modeling

Virtual reality

The paper is dedicated to the current state and perspectives of modern information technology Augmented Reality technology in the aircraft industry. Augmented reality quickly rapidly becoming one of the dominant IT tremds (e. g. Google’s Project Glasses project), so the material goes far beyond an «aviation» frame.

IT and education

Educational environment

The article discusses the possibility of improving the university dean operation effectiveness based on the introducting of the balanced scorecard and identifying key performance indicators allowing to track the achievement of strategic and tactical objectives, as well as automation of these activities with the help of a business performance information system.

Software engineering

Defense software

Author: D. Silnov

Advanced anti-virus tools developers do not pay attention to the type 1 and type 2 errors while identifying malware as a potential threat to stability. Lack of attention to the false alarms self-defense mechanisms creates a breach in security, allowing malware to manipulate antivirus tools.

Algorithmic efficiency

The general multi-dimensional orthogonal objects packing problem is considered. To construct the orthogonal packing of objects of arbitrary dimension the model of «virtual objects» is suggested. In order to optimize the solution multimethod genetic algorithm is used. We propose new heuristics placement of objects. The developed algorithms are implemented as software modules built on the basis of the universal library of classes of packing problems proposed by the authors. The results of computational experiments on standard two-dimensional rectangular packing problems are presented.

Laboratory

Decision support systems

This paper analysis the effectiveness of various modifications of the ant colonies method applied to solve the traveling salesman problem. The effectiveness of different algorithms (e. g. the original, elite and rank) was considered in terms of the algorithm convergence speed depending on the number of ants in the colony, the initial stock of pheromone and pheromone evaporation rate. Modification of the ant algorithms, allowing to increase the speed of finding the optimal solution by incorporating the algorithm «Queen» tracking the current state of the solution and the change of the correction algorithm, is proposed.

The possibility of creating an expert decision support system in the mortgage housing loans on the basis of fuzzy production rules is considered. To handle rules in order to eliminate the problem of empty intersections of fuzzy sets representing the components of credit application evaluation, Mamdan algorithm modification is proposed. The use of the proposed method is demonstrated on the example of the actual borrower.

Information processes modeling

Author: P. ZHeltov

To submit information informational markers have been developed. In particular, to perform the copy operation the marker consisting of an empty and uplinkparts was designed. Request part of the query contains a condition or copying. The table is presented in the form of macroposition consisting of three sub-positions: the nucleus, which contains the indexed information, and input and output buffers.

Production management

Author: K. Golovkin

Design and technological preparation scheme for the standard products production automation for example of «Branch» and «Transition» items is presented. Efficiency of through design reducing documentation time and raising quality of design that uses uniform parametrical elements is demonstrated.

The article deals with the issues of advanced compounds computer design based on the integrated information system. A survey of existing software solutions and applied mathematical methods, as well as prospects for the development of automation research in the chemical industry and an example of a computer experiment are presented.

Theoretical approach

Mathematical methods

The aim of article is to analyze various approaches to definition of interpretability, to form most complete list of criterion of interpretability of fuzzy sets and linguistic scales, and also to give semantic and formal definition of such criterion. The results can be while designing rule bases and data bases of interpretable fuzzy systems.

This article analyzes the presentation method of the two FIFO-queues in the memory of size m units. It is assumed that on the odd step inserting items into one of the queues while on the even step deleting items from the queues are allowed. Considering the known probability of operations, we solve the problem of shared memory optimal partitioning between queues in the case of consecutive cyclic representation of queues. The optimality criterion is considered as a minimum percentage of lost items at infinite time of the queue.
