Financial market analysis

A mathematical model for market stock prices forecasting within time periods from one to six months was developed. The model is based on modern signal processing methods and Markov chain theory. High forecasting accuracy regardless of stock prices probability distributions parameters and the model’s parameters adaptability due to calculations information storing are the model advantages. Economists, traders and students engaged in mathematical methods of financial markets behavior forecasting will be the most likely users of the model.

Project management

Author: S. Kul`din

A number of software effort estimation and release date prediction methods have been developed. However these methods are not handy and don’t work well in changing software life cycle environment. Ease of use and particular project information incorporation are the major benefits of a genetic approach presented in this paper.

Automated control systems

Creation of radio electronic equipment for space vehicles is a set of complex iterative processes involving a numerous specialists in various fields. Information systems and data management methodologies provide structured project information storing and rapid data exchange between team members. The paper deals with the problems of engineering specifications (bill of materials) creating and managing them with ENOVIA SmarTeam software package.

Industrial enterprise information resources management method describing separate components of a control system is considered. The method is based on using the set of interconnected mathematical models. The models presented incorporate graph theory, fuzzy logic and cognitive modeling methods modifications.

IT in government programs

Protection of cultural heritage

Structural and technological features of the Krasnoyarsk V. I. Surikov art museum website are described. The website is based on electronic help system of the museum fine arts collection which is considered to be the largest to the east of the Urals.

Operator-Logical Diagrams (OLD) with step by step instructions are very useful and descriptive tool that facilitates new learning data perception. An analysis of algebraic structure of symmetry group based on its Cayly graph construction problem and implementation of automaton with memory were chosen to demonstrate the OLD approach advantages. OLD benefits regarding their application for the basic domain models study are discussed.

E-learning

Author: E. Vlasova

Determining the appropriate number of tutors is one of the crucial tasks while creating an organizational environment for distance learning services institutions. An approach based on queuing theory models together with a software application as an implementation tool is suggested.

Software engineering

Mobile technologies

The practical aspects of OpenCellID technology are described. OpenCellID approach is based on the open API to database with cell ID data across the all mobile operators. The article is a summary of a graduate work carried out in Open Information Technology Lab of VMK faculty of Moscow State University.

The hardware and software systems

Designed in Russia general-purpose microprocessors with the Elbrus architecture have high logical speed and low power consumption. They feature full binary compatibility with the Intel architecture x86 microprocessors and provide an efficient mechanism for secure program execution. These features are based on deep hardware and software integration making it possible to create desktops, embedded systems, servers and supercomputers.

Simulation

Theory and practice

Author: T. Devyatkov

Simulation languages and systems are analyzed regarding their levels of automation and visualization. Based on conclusion that development of complex systems with improved simulation study algorithms, methods and programs is needed systems classification is carried out. High-dimensional statistical sampling processing method is described to illustrate the advanced approach features.

Information processes modeling

Author: K. Gudkov

The problem of lookup tables’ management in corporate information systems is presented. Problem solution is shown by the example of CIS administrative territorial division management. Structure of lookup tables in consideration is proposed. Data sources are recommended. Mathematical models of data import and data replication are implemented.

Production management

Author: O. Makarevich

A mathematical cost-efficiency estimating model for integrated production systems based on vertically integrated production technology is suggested. Extra charges portion, profit margin, cycles per period and the number of manufacturing companies included in the technology chain are among the parameters of the model.
