IT business

Reengineering technologies

Author: I. Fedorov

It is believed that a business process may be revealed using a bottom-up, but the model obtained in this way overloaded with details, are difficult to understand and often just provide a description of an individual script execution. The methods of model construction process using a top-down, highlighting all of the scripts execution is presenred. The result is a multi-level hierarchical model, suitable for analysis.

IT management

Project management

The article analyzes non-stationary arising in the process of project management at the industrial enterprises and their effect on the project structure. The method which provides accounting of non-stationary in the project temporal-logical model structure is presented. An example of the practical use of this method is given.

Production management

The way of the analysis of structure of a multidimensional accurate logic regulator for revealing repeating, contradicting and supplementing each other condition-action rules is discussed. The appropriate software based on this method is described.

IT and education

Training technologies

Author: I. Atovmyan

The goals and features of laboratory tools based on the open systems concept for studying the cluster systems scope and functioning properties, which allows to solve the problem of choosing the computational process rational organization taking into account the cluster system and technical parameters as well as the interaction tasks and their characteristics. In order to select the rational construction the GPSS World simulation models were developed.

Software engineering

Algorithmic efficiency

This paper deals with computer graphics tools application to graphic techniques of mathematical problems solving. Examples of algebraic linear equations and mathematical programming solutions are given.

Models and althorithms

The method of generation of web-interfaces described on HTML-language using genetic programming approach is proposed. The set of operations on HTML pages preserving their semantic integrity is introduced. Experimental results on the generation of HTML-page combining the parent HTML-page elements are considered.

Author: R. Cherny

The principle of any TCP-like protocol is a multipackage message transfer with address repeating. An approach to estimating the time probability parameters and timing of bringing multipackage messages based on the Markov chains theory is presented.

Mobile technologies

Author: D. Namiot

This article describes a program model for delivering local content to mobile subscribers. SpotEx application can use any Wi-Fi access point as presence sensor that discovers local data to mobile subscribers. SpotEx is a production rule-based expert system that opens access to local messages depending on visibility of Wi-Fi access points.

Hardware and software systems

Several classes of user interfaces for cloud simulation are presented. Key features of human-computer interaction using interfaces of presented classes, main capabilities of such interfaces, methodological principles of theirs implementation and typical users’ characteristics are considered. The article presents example implementations of defined classes using CLAVIRE multifunctional platform.

Laboratory

Decision support systems

Developed fuzzy-logic algorithm and software and information management decision support system for rational choice of supplier in the supply chain by using the analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy set theory operations. The numerical experiments results confirm the efficiency of the algorithm for making logistics management solutions.

Methods and software enabling the estimation of efficiency and the comparisons of alternative designs of foundry plants on the basis of moulding lines are discussed. Discrete-event simulation model using objectoriented approach for estimation of technological and constructional decisions is the main feature was developed.

History of profession

Information theory

Authors: V. Yuriev, V. Volkova

This paper presents a historical overview of the process of formation and development of informatics, as well as the formation of concepts. Considered several options for treatment of the concept of «informatics» as a field of scientific knowledge. Recommendations are given for the construction of training programs for bachelor’s and master’s degrees in information technology, in particular, for periodic updating according with the development of concepts and technologies.

Software

Author: I. Kazakova

The historic aspects of first high-level programming language creation are considered. Also Konrad Zuse’s another works — computer’s creation and works in artificial intelligence — is described.

Theoretical approach

GIS in economics

An enterprise location problem solution by means of logistic methods and GIS MapInfo tools is presented. The features of several logistics techniques as well as recommendations on their use in conjunction with the GIS tools were given.

It is known that during evolution process new genes may be constructed by a combination of existing genes. The combination mainly based on two processes: fusionиof genes or parts of genes and insertion of one gene or part of gene into another. Triplet periodicity of coding sequences is a common property of most living organisms. The fusion and insertion events may give triplet periodicity change points in a corresponding position of the gene. For the change point analysis measures of difference and similarity of triplet periodicity were introduced. Based on these measures the mathematical method for paired and single change point search in genes was developed.
