IT management

Market processes modeling

The necessity of the use of cognitive maps for the simulation of innovative development of the region is proved. The main innovation of modeling is in fuzzy cognitive maps. New kind of fuzzy cognitive maps incorporating uncertainty and variability of system performance are elaborated.

Production management

Author: V. CHertovskoj

The procedure formalizing the process of adaptive automatic control is considered. The method of describing proposed by the author, taking into account, in particular, features of the production management in a market economy provides a basis for adaptive information systems simulation and debugging.

3D modeling

Mathematical tools

Author: A. Deryagin

Results of mathematical models representing images structures research and development are considered. Methods and algorithms for formation, transformation and analysis of spatial objects using tetroid regular networks are suggested.

Software engineering

Software development technologies

Author: A. Simkin

This article describes an approach to requirements for integrated information system systematization. The approach proposed is the framework that can be used for the technical requirements formalization aiming to classification and definition of the relationship between the different types of requirements.

Algorithmic efficiency

Author: S. Drobnov

Some features of the GRID-systems which impose restrictions on the use of traditional methods in estimation of calculation acceleration are considered. General approach to estimation of this acceleration is suggested. Also analysis of GRID-system time-delay characteristics is presented.

Problem of allowed path construction for a graph is considered. It is shown that in the Euler graph is possible to build a valid Euler tour and in arbitrary chosen graph it’s possible to build a valid network. The algorithms presented are complimented by examples using software developed by the authors.

Mobile technologies

This paper discusses indoor positioning system based on QR-codes deployment. Authors present a special content management system (CMS) which enables users to create mobile services for navigation and positioning on the premises.

Simulation

Actor modeling

Author: A. Emelyanov

In the abstract modeling of social, economic and competitive, political, military and legal processes and in other areas where there is some difficulty with the use of formal models, actors as well as the theory of actor networks are being used. Recently, the actor approach was applied by the author for developing a new paradigm of simulation, which is shown in this paper. Its implementation required the creation of a new system simulation, including the system structure analysis, simulation models prototyping and creation. The paper presents its concepts and features.

Laboratory

Technology experiments

Indoor local agent positioning problem is considered. Self-organization method for agents while obtaining information of the external environment parameters was synthesized. The methods for constructing a global agents’ coordinate system was created along with methods for local coordinate system computation. Comparative analysis with the wide spread mutual commitment method showed the considerable advantage of the hybrid approach while dealing with a large group of agents with high-speed data communication hardware.

A problem of threshold values selection for pattern recognition of compact sets with one sample per object using algorithms for calculating estimates is considered. We study an option to extend the set of samples by ad — hoc set of reference samples. Experimental results and sample set generation options are provided.

Models and althorithms

The paper proposes the use of probabilistic mathematical model. Special attention is paid to the hierarchical mathematical model and, in particular, discuss the properties of algorithms PLSA and LDA. Specific feature of the hierarchical model is to move from the concept of «bag of words» to the «bag of themes» in the implementation of flat clustering algorithms. The algorithm is illustrated with the theses of the Euro-2012 conference and with some synthetic data.

Theoretical approach

Mathematical methods

We suggest the algorithm and the corresponding programming code for computing topologies of a finite set. Algorithm provides verification of T0-axiom of the separation and connectivity, computing the connected components, bases and topological spaces homeomorphisms to itself. Software implementing the proposed model developed by the authors is presented.

Mathematical models in economy

Analytical and numerical investigations of the Lucas’ model of economic growth are presented. The proof of the balanced growth path existence and the study of its uniqueness as well as principles of modeling of ordinary differential equations systems are discussed. The numerical investigation of the Lucas’ model is realized for the set of parameters which are characteristic for developed countries economies. The possibility of the indeterminacy existence is also considered.
